This week’s weather has been H-O-T. The only plus about the sweaty conditions that result from 90-degree weather in Manhattan is a valid excuse to stuff your face with a nice cool scoop of ice cream, or better yet Wooly’s Ice.

Wooly’s is not quite shaved ice, not quite ice cream, but some godly creation in between. The “ice” is creamy and airy and nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. Wooly’s is a mix between Hawaiian shaved ice and Taiwanese shaved ice, which typically loads on the toppings.

Toppings can include anything from fruit, mochi, or fruit pebbles. And since the ice is still a lower calorie option to ice cream, feel free to load on the strawberry, chocolate, or milk syrup to create the ultimate summer refresher.
